Your data stays on this device
A plain-language summary of exactly what Studiyum does — and doesn't — do with your homework. Maintained by the Studiyum team.
On-device solving
Every question you snap or type is solved locally on this device. The photo, the extracted text, the step-by-step working, and the final answer never leave your phone or tablet for solving.
No account required
You can use Studiyum without signing in. Snapping, solving, saving history, streaks, practice queue, and offline revision all work signed-out. An account is only used for optional classmate chat and cross-device sync.
Works offline
Turn on airplane mode and Studiyum still solves. There is no cloud round-trip in the solve path, so there is nothing to leak when the network is off.
What we don't collect
- No homework photos, OCR text, questions, or answers.
- No location data, device fingerprints, or advertising IDs.
- No third-party analytics, ads, or trackers.
- No usage or diagnostics events tied to your identity.
How on-device data is stored
Solved problems, notes, streaks and preferences are stored in local device storage (IndexedDB). You can wipe everything at any time from Settings or Settings → Storage.
Optional signed-in features
If you choose to sign in to join a class or chat with classmates, only the data you post there (messages, class membership) is sent to Studiyum's secure backend so it can reach the people you're sharing it with. Your on-device history is never uploaded automatically.
