Terms of Service

Last updated 4 July 2026

These terms are between you and Studiyum Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, United Kingdom, which operates Studiyum. By using Studiyum you agree to them. Please read them carefully.

What Studiyum is

Studiyum is a study companion for secondary-school students. It provides an on-device homework solver, photo OCR, and — if you create an account — cloud features such as class chats, assignments, and leaderboards.

Solutions and explanations are generated automatically. They are meant to help you learn, not to replace teachers, tutors, or professional advice. Always double-check important work.

Your account

You need to be old enough to consent to online services in your country to create an account, or have a parent, guardian, or teacher do it for you. You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for anything that happens under your account.

Acceptable use

When using chats, circles, or any social feature you agree not to:

  • Post harmful, hateful, sexual, violent, or harassing content.
  • Bully, dox, or impersonate anyone.
  • Share other students' personal information without consent.
  • Attempt to break the app, its rate limits, or its security.
  • Use the app to cheat on formally invigilated exams.

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. You can report any message from the message menu and block a member from their profile or the message menu. Reports are reviewed and acted on within 24 hours: we remove content, mute, suspend, or delete accounts that violate these rules, and repeat offenders are removed permanently. Chats are also filtered automatically for harmful language.

Manage your blocks and see the status of your reports in Settings → Safety.

No professional advice, no warranty

Studiyum is provided "as is" for study help. It is not medical, legal, financial, or safety advice. Automated solutions can be wrong. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Studiyum Ltd disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the app.

Ending your account

You can leave classes and delete your history from inside the app at any time. To delete your whole account and all of its data, go to Settings → Delete account — the deletion happens in the app, no email needed. If you would rather write to us, email support@studiyum.com. We may end an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these rules.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, United Kingdom. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by contacting support will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Nothing in these terms limits any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.

Changes and contact

If we change these terms we will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, ask you to re-accept next time you open the app.
