Tutor chat
It teaches the method — it doesn't just hand you the answer.
Chat breaks the question down, explains where you lost marks, writes the model answer against the marking points, then sets practice variations and slots them into your revision plan.
I don't understand this A-Level Biology enzyme question: “Explain how a competitive inhibitor reduces enzyme activity. (4 marks)”
“Explain” wants cause and effect, not a description. Four marks means four linked points. Start with the shape of the inhibitor — what does it look like compared with the substrate?
It's a similar shape to the substrate?
Exactly. Here's the answer built from the marking points:
- The inhibitor has a shape complementary to the active site, similar to the substrate.
- It binds to the active site, forming an enzyme-inhibitor complex.
- The substrate can no longer bind, so fewer enzyme-substrate complexes form and the rate falls.
- Increasing substrate concentration outcompetes the inhibitor, so the rate recovers.
Three variations to try now, so it sticks:
- Explain how a non-competitive inhibitor reduces enzyme activity. (4)
- Describe how activity changes above the optimum temperature. (3)
- Explain why an enzyme only catalyses one reaction. (3)

Momentum
Finishing the pack should feel good.
XP, streaks, daily quests and a spin wheel exist for one reason: they get students back for the next session, which is what actually moves a grade.

XP, level and streak
XP and levels
Every solved question, quiz and marked paper adds XP toward the next level.
Streaks
One session a day keeps the streak — the fastest way to make revision a habit.
Daily quests & missions
Missions come from your weak topics and your exam dates, not a random list.
Spin wheel
Finish the day's plan and spin for coins to spend in the shop.
